Pero qué es The Walking Dead, te preguntas? Bueno, si eres un lector no muy dotado, aquí va de nuevo:
En corto, The Walking Dead es un cómic publicado por Image Comics desde 2003 a la fecha. Narra la vida de una serie de personajes que tratan de sobrevivir en un mundo immerso en un apocalipsis causado por zombies.
Este verano, la serie ganó el Premio Eisner (algo así como los Emmys y Grammys, pero de cómics!) a la mejor serie contínua!
Y además de todo, este año se comenzó a producir una serie de tele basada en los cómics! En México, The Walking Dead se estrena el 1 de noviembre a las 22:00 en FOX!
En fin, en vez de hablarles de la serie, y cómo lo importante son las historias más que el gore (aunque sí hay, y bastante de lujo) decidí citar al mismísimo autor con algunas partes de su introducción al volumen 1.

Zombies.
To me zombie movies are thought provoking, dramatic fiction, on par with any Oscar worthy garbage that’s rolled out year after year. Movies that make you question the fabric of our very society are what I like. And in GOOD zombie movies… you get that by the truckload.
The idea behind The Walking Dead is to stay with the character, in this case, Rick Grimes for as long as is humanly possible. I want The Walking Dead to be a chronicle of years of Rick’s life. We will NEVER wonder what happens to Rick next, we will see it. The Walking Dead will be the zombie movie that never ends.
Well… not for a good long time at least.
